Crescendo Circle, the STL Symphony’s Young Friends Board, sponsors a presentation every third Thursday of the month on an upcoming performance piece. April’s is Gustav Holst’s The Planets, an orchestral suite composed at the turn of the century. Every talk is given by a symphony member or special guest, and includes a signature cocktail. Join KWMU for a ten rounds of general trivia, plus a bonus round of public radio themed questions. The cost is $120 per team, capped at eight players. MOBOT’s Young Friends host an early morning 5K through through the garden, showcasing newly- bloomed spring flowers. Tickets, $30 for members and $40 for non-members, support education and maintenance in the Doris I. Schnuck Children’s Garden. Celebrate Earth Day with Forest Park Forever’s free day-long festivities. Enjoy live music, yoga classes, Metro Bus mural paintings, presentations by local environmental nonprofits, organic food, rock-climbing, and more. Get a team of ten together and race through the St. Louis Zoo on a course filled with games, trivia, and brain-teasers. Connect with St. Louis: Connect with a Purpose

Connect with St. Louis, in partnership with other area nonprofits, invites young professionals to join in a day of service. From 9 til noon, participants choose and work on a regional project. At noon, volunteers are invited to a barbeque and washers tournament in the park. Find out more here.
