APA Adoption Center
Tuesday Tails 10:30 am – 11 am

Every Tuesday APA Education Director Jennifer Blome and special guests host an hour of storytime for children ages 2-5 and their parents. All are welcome, no registration necessary. Get details here.

Tuesday June 7:

Young Friends of Mercy
Steins for Support 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm

Help Mercy Hospital provide behavioral health care to students in urban Catholic grade schools through telemedicine by bringing friends to Urban Chestnut on Washington Avenue. No admittance fee is required, but a portion of all beer sales will be donated to Mercy Kids in Schools. Check it out here.

Friday June 17:

St. Louis Zoo
Zoo Ado 2016 7:00 pm- 12:00 am

Experience all the Zoo has to offer at Zoo Ado 2016. The event offers food, including beef brisket and coconut shrimp, live music, and a silent auction. Wear your best animal inspired attire and dance until midnight. Sponsored by Wells Fargo Advisors, proceeds benefit the St. Louis Zoo’s efforts to protect endangered species worldwide. Sunday June 19:

Young Friends of the Opera Theatre of St. Louis
Young Friends Nights at the Opera Performance is at 7:00 pm; dine before at 5:30 pm or after at 9:30 pm

Attend a pre or post-show reception under tents in the Opera Theatre’s gardens. The evening’s performance is Shalimar the Clown, an adaptation of the 2005 novel by Salman Rushdie. Tickets include dinner, gelato, and an open bar. Get them here.

Wednesday June 22:

Young Friends of the St. Louis Art Museum
Young Friends Tent Night at the Shakespeare Festival of St. Louis
Shakespeare Glen, Forest Park 6:30 pm- 8:00 pm

Join the Young Friends of the St. Louis Art Museum in partnership with the Young Friends of the Arts & Education Council, Forest Park Forever, and the St. Louis Zoo, for a meet and greet before A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Purchase drinks at the bar and enjoy free hors d’oeuvres as well as complimentary VIP parking and seating. Reserve your space here.  

Thursday June 23:

Young Friends of the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center Happy Hour
The Danforth Center 8:00 pm

Visit the Plant Science Center for an evening of drinks and conversation with other young professionals under 40. The Danforth Center is a national and regional hub for bioscience and agricultural technology. Meet new people and learn about their work to innovate and conserve environmental resources. Tuesday July 19:

Young Friends of the St. Louis Art Museum
Young Friends Curators & Cocktails
St. Louis Art Museum, East Building 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

SLAM’s American art curator, Melissa Wolfe, will give a presentation and tour of the museum’s summer exhibition Self-Taught Genius: Treasures from the American Folk Art Museum. Explore your creative side with a hands-on project inspired by the showing, and sample cocktails and appetizers. Registration is required; sign up here.

Wednesday July 27 and Wednesday August 24:

Young Friends of the St. Louis Zoo
Jammin’ at the Zoo 6:00 pm-10:00 pm

Spend an evening at the St. Louis Zoo featuring live music and entertainment (the event promises jugglers and unicyclists) as well as a wine and beer tasting from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Guests are permitted to bring in food of their own. Tickets, which help fund Zoo programming, can be purchased here.

Friday August 12:

Young Friends of Forest Park Forever
Forest Park Forever Golf Tournament
Probstein Golf Course, Forest Park 1:00 pm

Get a group together and support Forest Park Forever’s mission to preserve and enrich one of America’s greatest urban parks. The registration fee includes the tournament as well as lunch, dinner, a raffle, and a silent auction. Get more details here.
